An NFT is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, usually called a blockchain (or in this case a hashgraph), that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. NFTs are tracked on digital ledgers to provide the owner with a proof of ownership that is separate from copyright. Each NFT of ours is an original artwork, and certifiably minted.
Minting an NFT is how our digital art becomes a part of the network, a public ledger that is unchangeable and tamper-proof. Similar to the way that metal coins are minted and added into circulation, NFTs are also tokens that get “minted” once they are created.
